2006/3/1〜3/8 KOMODO KOZO OKUBO

I went to Komodo again. I love the Komodo sea.
I believe that by experiencing the Komodo seas,
it will be the closest path towards the MOSTER GT yet to be seen.

The trip was to predominantly test out the new swimming type prototype lure from Hammer-head.

The swimming type prototype lure was great in catching fish.
But it seems to be difficult to choose the size of the fish.

As the sun light increased, I changed the lure to the Top-light black swimming type popper,
and got results immediately.

The first time GT fisherman, Mr. Sano’s (Osaka) first ever GT was a nice size 126cm fish.
Caught on the Panic- MahiMahi color G-cup.

We caught many small GTs during this trip.

As the weather deteriorated causing rough waters, the swimming type lure was able to show its true ability.

I used the Cloudy-Black G-cup lure, hoping to catch a decent size fish as the clouds appear, and managed this 30kg.

To my amazement, this GT had a few hooks in its mouth from previous anglers not being able to land it.
This hook had rust and a number of shells attached to it, showing its age.

I was most glad to see the survivability of this fish even after a line breakage. However,
I must say that this GT was lucky with where the hook was placed.
There is nothing better than reducing the risk of line breakage.

This fish was also 10kg.

In the afternoon, Mr. Sano hooked up what looked to be a decent fish.
I immediately give moral support to catch the fish.
Although I gave him a little hand, after 35 minutes, a 141cm GT was successfully landed. Congratulations Mr. Sano.

Obvious cloud cover the next day. I select the best, the Cloudy-Black color.

The rain had stopped but there was cloud cover. Can say enough the effects of the Cloudy Black color.

Difficult to land big ones. It must be my off year.

The Video “LEGEND GT series” will be available this spring from APS.
